Assessment fees are non-refundable and separate from any subsequent service.

Service Types

Repair

Repair addresses specific faults identified during assessment. Components and circuitry necessary to restore proper operation are serviced or replaced, while functional areas are left undisturbed.

Restoration

Restoration is a more comprehensive service intended to return equipment to reliable long-term operating condition. Faults are corrected, age-related components are replaced where appropriate, and the equipment is inspected, adjusted, and calibrated as required.

Service Process

1. Inquiry
Inquiries are reviewed to confirm that the equipment is within the scope of service.

2. Drop-Off or Shipping
Local drop-off is by appointment only, and equipment must be received before the scheduled assessment date. If equipment is not received before the assessment date, the assessment moves to the next available date. Shipping instructions are provided for shipped equipment. The non-refundable assessment fee is due on or before local drop-off or before shipment. Payment for local service may be made by Interac e-Transfer or cash; payment for shipped equipment is by Interac e-Transfer. Auto-deposit is enabled. A receipt is provided after payment.

3. Assessment
Equipment is inspected and diagnosed, and a detailed service estimate is prepared. The assessment fee is separate from the service estimate. The estimate is provided through Wave and includes the scope of work, labour, parts, applicable taxes, and any required parts deposit.

4. Estimate and Authorization
Estimates are valid for 7 days. If a parts deposit is required, payment of the deposit accepts the estimate and authorizes service. Parts are ordered after the deposit is received. If no parts are required, verbal or written confirmation from the customer to proceed accepts the estimate and authorizes service. Any material change to the approved work or estimated cost requires further authorization.

5. Service and Bench Testing
Once authorized, the approved repair or restoration is completed and bench-tested for gain, frequency response, THD+N, crosstalk, and signal-to-noise ratio, as applicable.

6. Completion and Payment
After service and testing are complete, a Wave invoice showing the remaining balance is emailed. Payment is by Interac e-Transfer or, for local service, cash. All charges must be paid before pickup or return shipping. A receipt is provided after payment.

7. Pickup or Return Shipping
Local pickup is by appointment only. For shipped equipment, return shipping and handling are added to the final invoice and must be paid before shipment. Tracking information is sent after dispatch.
